Board of Trustees

Mirus is a non-profit making organisation, which aims to empower people with learning disabilities to lead valued lives as participating members of the local community.

The work of our organisation is overseen by our Board of Trustees and their Directors Management Team.

The trustees provide leadership for Mirus and set the strategic direction of the charity, working closely with the Chief Executive and her team who implement the strategy.

The trustees are legally responsible for ensuring that the organisations resources are managed prudently and that they are applied only to the purposes set out in Mirus ’s purpose and objectives. They must ensure that there is a framework of policies, systems and controls in place to manage Mirus efficiently and well.

The Trustee Board currently has a comprehensive membership of trustees, all unpaid. We are constantly looking to enhance the skills and contributions of our Trustees and we are keen to hear from people who are interested in becoming a trustee for an organisation that supports people with learning disabilities.
